Day 1:
Even though we were nervous for our 30 minute boatride from Bali to Nusa Lembongan we had to admit that this trip was actually not too bad. After beeing delayed about 30 minutes we finally arrived at Nusa Lembongan. We were not sure where to go or what to do when we arrived, but there are always people there taking care of you.
We jumped on the back of a tuktuk together with a lot of other people and tried
to hang on the best we could. After 20 minutes we arrived at our hotel Poh Manis. We are staying here for 3 nights before we leave to Nusa Penida.
After getting ourself into our bungalow we decided to spend the last hours before the sun goes down to relax outside the bungalow and eating some good food.
Day 2:
Today we rented a scooter so that we could drive around the island by ourself. The problem was that we have never tried to drive a scooter before and at the same time they drive on the opposite side then we do at home.
We tested the scooter in the hotel parkinglot before we packed up and drove of. Chris was doing the driving and Stine was trying to hold on. The hotelmanager explained to us how the scooter works and also told us that there is no need to look at the speedometer og gasmeter because none of them was working. We started driving so slow that we almost could walk faster, but during the day it improved. We were also not using helmets because the hotel did not have one, so we felt really "Badass". Normally people doesnt use a helmet in Nusa Lembongan.
We used the scooter for a couple of hours that morning to drive around nearby the hotel. We needed some time to get used to the driving and traffic even though there is not much of it here.
We saw dream beach and devils tear which is famous touristspots to take pictures.
The rest of the day we spent relaxing by the pool.
Day 3:
Today we also drove around the whole island and also over the "yellow" bridge to Nusa Ceningan. There we saw the Blue lagoon and the famous cliff jump. The yellow bridge actually collapsed in 2016 and at least 9 people died and more got injured.
Tomorrow we are leaving for Nusa Penida which is the island just 15 minutes with boat from Nusa Lembongan.
Talk to you later.
