Last night we decided to put our alarmclock at 8 am to be able to see the the Tegallalang terraces placed close to our hotel.
After breakfast we walked the 5- 10 minutes up to the entrance to the rice fields and paid for a ticket. The price for 10 000 Rupies per person which is the same as 6 norwegian kroners or 1 US dollars.
Since we arrived so early, there were very few other tourists there yet, and we were able to take som nice pictures. The rice fields is really nice, but you can see that it is a lot of focus on the tourism. They have different stands that you can pay to take spesific fotographs or sit in a swing to get better views for example.
And another pretty annoying thing is that for every 20 meters you go, there is a shed that you can`t pass without paying donations. So it is basically imposed donations or extra tickets. We have no problems paying donations, but when it is forced, i think the principal of donation goes away. So that made us turn around and go back halfway through the terraces.
But looking at the bright side, we got some nice pictures.
The rest of the day we used to relax by the pool at the hotel, listening to e-books and walking around in the neighborhood.
Some cool images
