As mentioned yesterday we decided to travel some days earlier than planned to Sanur, south of Bali. On the way there we stopped to see the Jatiluwih rice terraces, which is actually a world heritage site.

Jatiluwih has different histories based on who you ask, but one of them is that in the middle of the village there is a graveyard of ancient animals of a bird called Jatayu. The pronunciation Jatayu changed over time to Jaton Aya meaning Luwih or Good. So Jaton Ayu is equal to Jatiluwih.

It is a really big area of about 3322 km2 with a height of approximately 1059 meters above sea level.

We walked around there for about 1,5 hours taking pictures, flying the drone and filming. This was a really beautiful site which we absolutely recommend to everybody.

After the walk Supa drove us the 2,5 hours to Sanur where we are staying 3 nights. We have booked our nights at Hotel Puri Mango which is a fine hotel to spend some days.

Tomorrow we hopefully will take a small trip to see a local dance and market at the Art festival positioned in Sanur.
