Today we woke up to rain. So our plan for the day had to be prosponed until 10 am before we could get out and start moving.

Supa picked us up in his taxi and drove us to Pura Gunung Kawi temple.

Gunung Kawi was built in the 11th century and it has 10 rock- cut shrines that could be up to 7 meter tall.
It is thought to be dedicated to King Anak Wungsu of the udayana Dynasty and his queens.
This was a really beautiful temple with not so many tourists. It is quite a big area and a lot of steps to climb.
It is absolutely worth taking a trip here to see the amazing carvings.
We were quite lucky because there were som men painting som new carvings when we visited.

After visiting Gunung Kawi we drove to Tirta Empul temple which is famous for its holy water that you can take a bath in. It is said that it will cleanse you, and it is also suppos to be good for your Aura.
You have to were a surong at all times inside the temple, and the women need to have their hear put up.
These temple is a big tourist attraction so you have to be quick to take pictures. I am glad we got the opportunity to see it and to take pictures, but it is not a place i would go back.

Supa then took us to our hotel, Kampung resort. It is an amazing hotel with good food, great views and really nice rooms. We have spent the rest of the day on the hotel surroundings and are looking forward to see the Tegallalang rice terraces tomorrow morning.
